  • Refined and enhanced distribution channels for several podcasts / web shows.
  • Provide technical assistance in the capture, post production and publishing of content.
  • Manage development of creative for marketing initiatives.
  • Implemented and refine marketing strategies in regards to the launch of new products and site creative.

2007 – Present CEO/Founder of Contagious Solutions

  • Started a social media consultancy business focusing on distribution and content strategies for business, ministries and churches.
  • Have researched and connected with an effective system of tracking social media metrics.
  • Have helped plan, design and develop several websites built on blogging technology.
  • Have developed several social media campaigns that are still in progress for various clients.
  • Was contracted by Saddleback Church to help with blogger relations, content creation, and social media consultation for their Purpose Driven Network Summit. The efforts here were able to connect the awareness of the summit and some of it’s “insider” content to an audience 5 times larger than those that were physically present.

2007 Channel Development Team Associate, Saddleback Church

  • Assisted in the production and execution of the Rick Warren Ministry Podcast. The podcast grew from 0 to 10,000 listeners in under 3 months.
  • Assisted in the planning and execution for new distribution channels, content creation and community engagement with the Rick Warren message with a global perspective.
2006 – 2007 Freelance Writer & Assistant, Doug Fields
  • Specialized in the ghost writing of articles, books and forewords.
  • Edited and Refined over 60 weeks worth of Small Group Curriculum.
  • Helped in email communications and administrative tasks.
2004-2006 Student Minister, Whitewater Crossing
  • I managed the recruitment, training and deployment of adult volunteers for service within the local community of teenagers.
  • I planned, organized and implemented weekly and monthly programs with elements of music, public speaking, drama, visual presentations and movies.
  • I was a part of the leadership team that helped determine the strategic and cultural vision for the church.
  • I excelled in having a relational investment with teenagers and adults on a daily basis.
  • I planned, tracked and ran a yearly budget for the ministry.
  • I planned, organized and implemented several large-scale events for the church.

2003-2004 Distributor and Salesman, Buckeye Distributing (Red Bull)

  • I maintained all accounts on a weekly basis (approximately 110 clients), and cultivated new clients.
2001-2003 Young Life Staff
  • I cultivated a strong relationship with GlenOak High School (Canton Ohio) and its administration with the purpose of being involved in the life of teens. I made such a good connection here that they trusted giving me a staff ID.
  • I spent a large amount of time developing relationships with high school teenagers who attended GlenOak High School.
  • I planned, organized and implemented 2 summer Young Life camp trips that were attended by teens that had no connection with God or a church.
  • I ran a weekly small group Bible study for 2 years.
  • I organized the area budget and was a part of the fund raising process for my personal support and the area budget. I also planned, organized and implemented the yearly fund raising banquet.
  • I lead a team of volunteers which met on a monthly basis. This team had an influence in 5 area schools in outreach and relationship development.
  • I went to the 3 week Staff Training in Portland, OR and the 1 week Area Director Training in Colorado Springs, CO.
2000 – 2001 Sports Ministry Intern, First Friends Church: Canton, Ohio
  • I ran the High School Varsity Level Basketball League two years in a row. This league had 90 teens involved, with a large majority not having consistent connection to any one church. I organized and created the curriculum for both leagues that was taught before the games in a small group setting.
  • I ran a Home School Co-op “Gym Class”
  • I assisted in the day to day operations of a large Sports Ministry. This included Co-ed Volleyball Leagues, Basketball Leagues for all ages, Baseball Leagues, and various camps and clinics.

Skills

Social Media Production

  • I am very familiar with the production and distribution workflows for audio and video podcasts. I have run my own podcast for 40 episodes as well as helping Simply Youth Ministry with 3 of their shows [here, here and here], Kerry Mackey with his Street to the Seat Blog and Podcast , Saddleback’s Celebrate Recovery Podcast and the Rick Warren Ministry Podcast
    • The production of these shows included news-gathering, host preparation, content creation, technical setup, running the capture, hosting the show, post production and setting up distribution channels.
  • My media skills are with an awareness of the balance between quality (timeless) and quanity (timely) content – and what is effective in appropriate channels. I have primarily used applications such as Audacity (audio) iMovie (video), Adobe Photoshop for the capture, design and publish of media.

  • I have studied and have found the best solutions for tracking the climate, chatter and “buzz” for both brands and the progress of specific campaigns.
